The Trading Pit at World of Trading, Frankfurt!
The Trading Pit’s first appearance at World of Trading, Frankfurt proves a huge success!
We’re back from World of Trading, one of Germany’s largest trading industry events. What a time we had!
We’re still a little out of breath, and we’re trying to digest everything that we did, saw and experienced. But, what we can say right now is that it was an incredible experience and we’re proud of how our product was received by the people who passed by our booth.

A hive of activity!
Our booth, expertly designed by our in-house team, stood out from the crowd and quickly became a hive of activity. There’s no way of knowing how many people passed by our tables, but the lines were endless. Our Partners, many of them expert traders, spent hours talking to our visitors, passing on information and opinions about our products and services, but also the markets in general. Just visiting our booth was a learning experience!
“It was something new. We were the only prop trading firm there, people were curious, there were a lot of traders interested to know more and many wanted to know about prop trading. It was very exciting,” says Periklis Hanna, our Marketing Operations Manager.
Our four seminars were a hit. We can’t process just how successful the talks were. The rooms were all full. People crammed in, sitting on the floor to listen in and lining the corridors outside. Our speakers included Marcus Shulz, founder of Volume-Trader, who delivered a seminar titled “There is no such thing as a trading strategy”, stock exchange trader Patrick Nill and Bernd Böhme, founder of Trade Don’t Play. Next time, we’ll do our best to add more events. One of our missions is to educate people about prop trading, and we certainly did that over the two days.
“All four of our seminars were packed, with people sitting on the floor, and others waiting outside trying to get in,” says Andreas Pilavakis one of our Customer Support Representatives. It was especially pleasing, according to Pilavakis, to see people sitting and talking with our Partners, “It was great to see these big names in the industry sharing their knowledge, and taking photos!” he says.
World of Trading was a watershed event for The Trading Pit, it marked our first appearance as a company at an expo and we couldn’t have hoped for it to go better, “Frankfurt is a major financial city, a major hub, it was great to see a lot of senior representatives of financial firms,” says Pilavakis, “It was definitely an honor to meet big, experienced names from the trading industry. It was also good to see our traders talking, our visitors got an inside view into the market, they got value from the booth.”
After such a successful event, it’s time to take a look at the takeaways. It’s early, but the most common questions asked by visitors to the booth were:
1. How are you different from other prop trading firms?
2. How fast do you pay out?
3. Do we really offer live (real money) trading accounts?
4. What is prop trading?
5. What instruments are tradable?
